Always looking to invest in the latest technology for their workforce, the body shop is equipped with state of the art equipment ensuring that vehicles are serviced and repaired to manufacturer’s stringent specifications.

New LED Lighting Installation for Fix Auto

Having used AGM for over 10 years to service their spraybooths, AGM were the natural company to turn to when it came to the upgrade of their LED lighting system. AGM’s retrofit LED lighting provides an excellent colour rendition with uniform lighting across the working area. This shadow free light offers a bright, even light which replicates natural daylight ensuring operators have the optimum environment for an accurate colour rendition. The improved lighting levels will help to deliver a quality job with a flaw free finish meaning fewer reworks will be required.

Andy Sankey, Managing Director at Fix Auto Wigan commented: “Having used AGM Services for over 10 years they were the natural choice when it came to the LED upgrade. The installation was extremely quick with minimal downtime for the spraybooth. The new lights are amazing, with a 2800 lux average they’ve made such a difference for the team. I’d definitely recommend AGM Services.”

Energy efficient LED Lighting from AGM Services

LED lighting is the most energy efficient form of illuminating a bodyshop. With easy to maintain fittings and a lower depreciation of lux levels over time, the number of tube changes is reduced and the cost of maintenance is significantly less. With a 5 year guarantee and an expected life span of 10 years, it is easy to see why so many customers have turned to AGM for lighting upgrades.

Wesley Young, Sales Director at AGM Services commented: “We’ve worked with Andy for over 10 years now, it’s always great to help our customers improve their sites. Our Merseyside spraybooth engineer Paul and his colleague Rory completed the upgrade in just 4 hours to ensure minimal disruption for the busy bodyshop.”

AGM Services manufacture retrofit light fittings for any make or model of spraybooth. For more information contact the team on 01706 363 585 or email sales@junair.co.uk.

The increased lux levels provide a bright, clean, shadow free environment for an accurate colour rendition and flaw free finish. The long life span and low maintenance costs of LED lighting make them a must for bodyshops looking at long term operating costs.

Wesley Young, Sales Director of AGM Services commented:

“Upgrading to LED lighting is always a quick win when it comes to energy saving technology, and the benefits don’t stop there, as well as the obvious costs saving the increase in Lux level (brightness) is substantial.”

“The benefits are noticeable straight away, the increase in brightness enables a more even paint coverage, meaning the final finish is much improved. As always 2 AGM engineers will be on site at any time and the work can be carried out in conjunction with your usual service, so there will be minimal downtime and disruption.”

Here’s what our happy clients have said

Dave Cottrell, Managing Director of KC Autos commented:

“As part of our manufacturers approval for Mercedes Benz we were required to improve the lighting in one of our spraybooths. We opted for AGM’s tailored LED lighting solution in order to ensure consistent LUX levels for the life of the equipment. Paul the engineer who fitted them took readings before and after the installation – the LUX values had almost trebled.”

James and Joe began their apprenticeships with AGM Services 2 years ago. They have successfully completed their second year, showing dedication and commitment to both their work and studies. AGM Services understands the importance of apprenticeship schemes and have actively recruited apprentices over the years with Rob Menzies one of the more experienced spraybooth engineers within the team, having been recruited this way over 10 years ago. Apprenticeships have proven to be a very valuable approach to recruiting, long term, committed employees. The bespoke on the job training provides career opportunities that can otherwise be tricky to recruit for, and is vital to continuing the strategic growth for the company.

Apprenticeships with AGM

Apprenticeships are structured to give the future generation the on the job skills they need as well as the academic skills that are taught in the class room. The 4 year course the AGM apprentices are undertaking will provide a plethora of on the job skills in electrical engineering but will also earn them a BTEC Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

This year saw the completion of courses in electrical and sheet metal work. As part of their coursework they were required to manufacture tool boxes as part of their metal fabrication module, which have proven very useful for work. A bonus is that they could also get them spray painted at Junair Spraybooths.
Fiona Morrison, Operations Director AGM Services commented “I’m a big advocate of encouraging young people to take up apprenticeships, it’s a great way to ensure we don’t lose the much needed skills within the industry. Obviously we’re thrilled that James and Joe have completed their course so far, we’re already planning what skills they’ll be learning next year. They’ll be getting much more involved in spraybooth commissioning and legislative testing and we’ll be developing their stock control and parts recognition knowledge as well. They’ll also be starting to undertake wiring and testing work on plants and smart equipment.”
