FAQ’S

Frequently Asked Questions

As a leading UK provider of spray booth servicing and repair, we at AGM Services are committed to providing our customers with all the up-to-date information they require. Here, we have compiled a list of the most frequently asked questions we are presented with, concerning our spray booth maintenance and repair services.

Spray booths

AGM have been servicing spraybooths for over 25 years. In that time, we have serviced over thirty different makes and countless models of spraybooth. Between our fifteen engineers on the road and our in house technical, team there’s nothing we can’t handle.

Most services are booked a month in advance of them becoming due. AGM try to keep the same engineer looking after the same site for continuity, however for services at short notice we can send a trained technician to your location.

All AGM Service and Maintenance engineers work in teams of two, including a skilled engineer and an engineer’s mate. This not only reduces your downtime but also means any repairs that require bulky or heavy lifting such as motor or fan changes can be completed without customer assistance. However, the time to carry out a service can vary significantly between makes and models.

Before each new contract one of our engineers will visit the site for a free, no obligation survey. Once you’re happy with your survey, choose from one of our excellent spraybooths, each with a different need. Naturally, different models will incur a varying cost depending on parts and upkeep.

Spray booth parts

All our engineers are equipped with spares of the most commonly used parts in their vans. If the part your booth requires isn’t with our engineer, we can offer a next day delivery service.

Our expert team are happy to provide you with advice on equipment upgrades that will improve the energy efficiency and performance of your spraybooth. This includes LED lighting, variable speed drives, QADs (an auxiliary drying system) and direct gas fired burner conversions.

View our online shop which stocks the most common types of spraybooth filter, as well as filter regulator elements and filter socks. If there is a type of filter you require which is not yet listed on our website call our team on 01706 363 585 to see if we have it in stock. Our warehouse can deliver filters next day and any orders over £150 are delivered free of charge. See our online spraybooth filter shop here.

Spray booth engineers

All our engineers take part in an initial twelve week in house training plan with our Technical Manager and existing engineering teams. This is then followed up on a regular basis to ensure that their knowledge is always current.

Key equipment suppliers deliver training on a regular basis, either in house, at head office, or at customers’ sites, ensuring that our engineers are always on top of any new trends.

Each engineer is Gas Safe Registered for commercial gas, has a PASMA certificate (safe erection of scaffolding equipment), and have an IPAF qualification (Scissor Lift, Cherry Picker access equipment).

On completion of serving twelve months with us, our engineers complete HSE / BHOS accredited P601 course and examination for Service and Maintenance of LEV systems.
