Every year staff at AGM Services look forward to taking part in ‘Wear it Pink’. It is now an annual tradition for employees at AGM Services to take part and raise money for the charity.
A variety of pink costumes were worn as employees joined in the fun and donated to the worthy cause. The event takes place during breast cancer awareness month and gives AGM, and businesses around the country, the opportunity to raise as much money as possible to help.
The ‘pink’ raffle also consisted of a wide range of prizes in varying shades, items from candles to chocolate could be won. On the day employees of AGM Services donated a total of £317 to the cause.
Ellie Adam, Senior fundraising Manager at Breast Cancer now, commented: “Each year we are overwhelmed by the huge numbers of people wearing it pink in their offices. Companies like AGM Services make the event the huge success that it is and help to raise money for breast cancer now. It’s wonderful to see people having so much fun, whilst dressed up in pink! We hope that everyone enjoyed the wear it pink event held at AGM Services – we can’t wait to hear all about it!”
The ‘Wear it Pink’ event takes place around the UK each year and raises around £2 million during breast cancer awareness month. The money is used to fund lifesaving research for top scientists in the field.

The individually tailored, on the job training forms career opportunities that can otherwise be tricky to recruit for. Apprenticeships are vital for the planned growth of the company, whilst also offering apprentices a valuable insight into the working environment, in tandem with providing them with recognised industry qualifications.
James and Joseph joined AGM Services in the 2015 apprentice intake and have already proven to be valuable assets to the company. Their on the job training has so far consisted of building control panels, servicing spraybooth ovens, attending breakdowns, fault finding on site and assisting in mechanical remedial works. Having successfully completed the first year of their apprenticeship they have now completed modules in Health & Safety, hand fitting techniques, electrical maintenance and wiring and testing circuits. In addition to this they have completed coursework to augment their learning process.
The second year of the 3 year long apprenticeship will see them gaining further on the job training and becoming more competent in the workplace. Their day release course will require them to complete modules in communicating technical information, working effectively & efficiently in an engineering environment, wiring and maintaining electrical components and equipment in enclosures and selecting and preparing components for electrical assembly. James’ and Joseph’s progress will be closely monitored by their course tutor ensuring they are receiving the best training possible.
Get more details if you require spraybooth service and maintenance.
On completion of their apprenticeship, not only will James and Joseph have a good grounding in an engineering career but they will also gain a City & Guilds Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrotechnical Systems & Equipment (Buildings, Structures and the Environment).
