Leading spraybooth aftercare provider AGM Services has recently expanded capacity at its Heywood head office, to include a new 3000 sq ft warehouse, following significant organic growth over recent months.

The new 3000 sq ft warehouse holds valuable replacement stocks for the servicing and maintenance of spraybooths, meaning the ever important same day despatch of replacement parts can be consistently achieved.

Custom-designed Warehouse for AGM

The new warehouse comprises a state of the art racking system meaning stock is always to hand and stored in a manner which ensures stock is not damaged or misplaced. The streamlining of the process is further aided by a custom-designed stock monitoring process to ensure the right parts are in the right place at the right time.

A filter trimming area, with purpose built equipment has been installed in the warehouse. Spraybooths require a diverse range of filter sizes and with this equipment filters can be trimmed to bespoke sizes with ease and efficiency.

The warehouse boasts a loading area for the vans, ensuring stock can be collected in all weathers without damage. AGM vans visit head office on a regular basis to restock, with each van carrying over £10,000 of the most common spare parts, ensuring a first time fix rate of 94% on emergency call outs.

Chris Palmer, AGMs Purchasing Manager, has been appointed specifically to facilitate the management of the new warehouse from its inception stages to ensure its efficient operation from day 1. The exacting management of the supply chain is key to the success of AGM Services, the new warehouse and stock monitoring process has enabled this to become much more efficient and controlled.

Chris’s appointment is part of AGMs strategic growth strategy and is one of many roles that have recently been created to enable the expansion of the company, whilst providing a seamless service to customers. AGM now have 12 service centres strategically situated across the UK covering areas from Northern Scotland right the way down to the South Coast of Devon.

AGMs expansion has also impacted on head office staff as well. A number of new roles at head office meant that more space was required and consequently AGM has moved to a brand new, purpose built office with room to spare ensuring that AGM has room to grow as their organic expansion continues.
