April 28, 2015

Fiona Morrison, Business Operations Manager at AGM Services has recently joined Woman’s Automotive which was formed in 2013 as a platform for like-minded women within the automotive industry to interact and network. Due to the success, the group has now moved under the umbrella of the Auto Body Professionals Club (ABP).

Explaining the Benefits of Spraybooth Servicing

Fiona Morrison comments: “Since joining Woman’s Automotive in January 2015 I have attended two meetings in which I have met a number of interesting and influential women within the industry. The atmosphere at the meetings is very relaxed and everyone is encouraged to interact and network. The meetings are informative and key speakers provide valuable information to help drive woman’s involvement within the automotive industry.”

On Tuesday 21st April Woman’s Automotive held their second meeting of 2015 at Duffield House, Stoke Poges, sponsored by Akzo Nobel. The keynote speakers at the meeting were Helen Taylor, Apprentice programme Operations Manager, Mercedes-Benz UK and Garry Thomas, Senior Engineer, Admiral Group.

Fiona adds: “Networking is a key element for the group, allowing all members an opportunity to discuss their areas of business both at the meetings and also on the forum. Since joining I have been in discussions with a number of other members regarding AGM’s spraybooth servicing and spraybooth maintenance.”

“I feel that Woman’s Automotive is essential moving forward to encourage future generations to get more involved with the industry and help challenge the misconceptions of women with the automotive industry.” Continues Fiona.
